How the program works

Staff install a raised bed at your home at no cost, plant your first seedlings, and coach you on watering, weeding, and harvesting. The program operates as a co-op — participants are encouraged (never required) to donate toward supplies.

Applications for the 2026 season are open through May 31, 2026. Later applications roll onto the 2027 waitlist.

Help us grow

Every raised bed starts with a neighbor and a donor.

Your gift funds soil, seed, and installations in Detroit neighborhoods that need fresh food most. Volunteers keep gardens alive all season long.
